About Katja Marinic
_edited.jpg)
Katja Marinic is an abstract artist who was born on December 28, 1987 in Celje, Slovenia and lives in Graz. She discovered her love of art in 2018 while experimenting with acrylic paints. Her first paintings followed immediately and her first exhibition a few months later.

She has always been surrounded by art, even as a child. From a young age, she was captivated by the beauty of abstract expressionism. Her father even drew a pencil portrait of her. Artistic talent clearly runs in her family, as her great-grandfather was also a talented artist. This connection to art and the inspiring role models in her family give her works a special significance. Her art is a journey of inner expression. Through abstract forms and vibrant colors, she explores the depths of her emotions and brings them to life on canvas. Her pieces invite viewers to explore their own emotions and to be moved by the power of art.

She has a great passion for interior design. Numerous paintings hang in her apartment, which she constantly rearranges and redecorates. She believes that art and interior design are two creative fields more closely connected than one might think.
“A room is never complete without art. Without artwork, the potential of a space remains untapped.”

“To decorate a home without considering art is to forgo emotions and inspiration.”
